Implementing and extending Visual Studio Team System
In this session we will look at the process of adopting Visual Studio Team System and Team Foundation Server in an organization. Team System is a huge product with many interrelated parts so in order to get the best out of the system it will require some upfront work. We will present the areas we have found most important to focus on in order to have a smooth migration into this new platform so that all affected roles in the development process get the tool support they need.
This is a practical talk covering key areas including
·         Customization; process and project customization.
·         Extension; check-in policy plug-ins and TFS notifications.
·         Automation; process automation using work items and build automation using Team Build.
