Information Retrieval with Open SourceThe main goal of the talk is to provide an introduction to Information Retrieval and a brief overview of the Vector Space Model and its implementation in Lucene. This talk will be useful not only for Java hackers but also for Ruby, .Net and Python coders. There are Lucene ports for all these languages and I am going to explain the main concepts behind VSM and Lucene.
