Failing to meet expectations, again?
In 2003 the Location API was released to support the development of Location Based Services on Java ME. From the start it was clear that the API would not meet expectations; with its only real contribution being a standardised way to the retrieve positioning information. The question is now whether the upcoming version 2.0 will turn out better?

This seminar will attempt to uncover the truth. Participants will get an in-depth presentation of the upcoming API; each feature being evaluated from a development and market perspective. A comparison will also be made with its predecessor to determine what progress, if any, has been made. With the facts on the table, we will discuss if the Location API 2.0 really is the way forward.
