Chris Klug, 59North, Sweden

Chris spends his days as a technincal trainer, teaching as well as writing course material. He has spent several years as a webdeveloper before moving to teaching. Projects include a broad spectrum of customers including model agencies, sports betting companies, charity organisations and international sail racing teams. The last year and a half has been devoted to teaching, both Microsoft technologies and EPiServer. His passion for design in combination with webdevelopment quickly got him interested in Silverlight. An interest he nurtures on his spare time, when he can't kitesurf or wakeboard.

Getting Started w Silverlight 2

Silverlight is probably one of the biggest changes we have seen in a long time within Microsofts web development platform. It changes the way we think when working with the web and gives us the power needed to create RIA.
This session gives you a view on how to get started with Silverlight. It will show you what software you need, what skills you need to aquire as well as what skills you can re-use from previous coding experience. Time is spent on looking at the features given to us by Silverlight 2.0 as well as on how to use them. It will give you the foundation needed to start experimenting with the UIs of the future.
