Allan is a London based consultant and interim manager specialising in Agile adoption. After 10 years at the code face he came to believe that many of the problems faced by development teams are not in the code but in the management of development efforts. Hitch Hikers Guide to Management
Who needs managers? Aren’t good developers enough? Allan will look at the different types of manager we find in software development teams and explores what they do, what they should do and why they don’t do it. He will attempt to resolve some of the confusion about managers and Agile teams, and explores what managers need to do to create truly effective Agile teams. This session is for practising managers, developers who wonder what managers do and, especially, those who have recently become a manager and want to know what they should be doing. |
