Kai Tödter is a Principal Engineer at Siemens Corporate Technology. He has more than 9 years professional experience with Java. Kai was delegated as "Technical Liaison Manager for Java" to Sun Microsystems and he has represented Siemens in the Executive Committee of the Java Community Process. Kai currently works on software architecture and product development of large multimedia J2ME-based systems.
Challenges developing MIDP 2.0. The seminar will be presenting challenging development issues that are specific for the domain of J2MRE MIDP 2.0 applications, like nightly build environments, multi-media challenges with regards to UI implementation and media formats, the use of obfuscators for size optimization, multi-target development with pre-processors, internationalization and operator/country-dependent configuration, and the MIDP 2.0 permission framework.
